Residential Elevators Maryland - Making Our Lives Easier!

Life cannot get easier without an elevator. Whether it is a public place or your home, an elevator can give you a comfortable daily life. With its superior quality, craftsmanship and design, Residential Elevators not just provide you a comfortable life but also saves your time for other constructive work that you may want to get engaged in.

There are four common types of residential elevators

1.      Cable winding drum: if the initial installation price is your concern then you should go for the cable winding drum elevators. They use thick steel cables to suspend the elevator cab and give you enough savings. But they are known for rough handling and loud noise they produce.

2.       Chain drive counterweight: these elevators do not use any cables or hydraulic cylinder for elevator movement. This utilizes gears and a chain to move the torque from a motor. The chains last for over two decades and the gear has to be changed every five years. This drive is less noisy and requires less maintenance.

3.       Inline gear chain drive: this drive is much more energy efficient than the other simple chain drive elevators. The motor assembly is situated at top of the shaft. Having less head space makes it low in installation cost and it also provides fast access being safer.

4.       Gearless: This is the most silent system being a combination of cables and counterweights. They require higher maintenance as the cables are to be replaced after a few years and they are also the most difficult ones to be installed or removed. This drive system is mostly found in office buildings.

5.       Vacuum Tube: this drive is the costlier but the smoothest one too. If you do not have any budget restriction then they can be installed for that elegant look for your home as they are smoothest and most silent in operation.

With the five types of elevators used in residential areas, you have a choice which one suits your space and your budget. Always check the lifting mechanism being used with the elevator as it can make the elevator complicated. With all the options available to you the Residential Elevators are sure to ease out every difficulty that you or a member of your family faces every day.
